TO
Amend the Constitution​

Preamble: This bill recognizes that the security of a free and democratic society is strengthened by the responsible participation of its citizens in lawful defense and public order.

1. Short Title
(a) This bill shall be referred to as the "Gun Rights Amendment".
(b) This bill was authored by Milkcrack.

2. Reasons
(a) To explicitly recognize and enshrine the right to keep and bear arms as a constitutionally protected activity in furtherance of the right of individuals to defend themselves, their families, and property against unlawful force.
(b) To reinforce the balance of power between the state and the people by recognizing that an armed citizenry contributes to deterrence against tyranny, abuse of authority, and unlawful coercion.
(c) To ensure that future governments respect the role of lawful firearm ownership within a free society, while allowing reasonable limitations as with all other rights.

3. Gun rights
(1) Article 1 of the Constitution shall be amended as follows:
1. Freedom of thought, belief, and political opinion.
2. The right to keep and bear arms.
2. 3. The right to citizenship upon entering the country.
3. 4. Freedom of peaceful assembly and association.
4. 5. Freedom of press and media of communication.
5. 6. The right to vote and participate in elections as specified by law.
6. 7. The right to refuse self-incrimination in a court of law.
7. 8. The right to be secure against unreasonable search and seizure.
8. 9. The right to protect one-self and property.
9. 10. The right to self-representation or counsel in a court of law.
10. 11. The right against government overreach of powers not specified by the constitution.

Enactment: This Act comes into force immediately upon passage and ratification.
