TO
CONDUCT A BASIC INCOME TRIAL
Preamble: This basic income seeks to protect tradesmen and women from financial hardship in the country by providing them basic income. It will help new citizens and create economic growth by giving them money to spend at shops, renting, and other economic activities.
1. Basic Income
(a) Any citizen with a trade job who does not otherwise get a wage shall receive base wage of $5 supplied by the government.
(i) Trade job includes farmers, miners, foresters, chefs, and any other job marked as a ""trade"" in the University of Azalea Isles.
(ii) The $5 payout shall be made periodically on the same basis of government wages, which is currently 20 minutes.
(b) The government is expected to fulfill the duties of this law by providing the wage and reporting on any issues.
2. Trial and Research
(a) After this bill is enacted, it shall expire in 60 days. Parliament will then vote on making it permanent.
(b) The Ministry of Economic Affairs is expected to provide a full report after 60 days on the impact this has had on the government treasury.
Enactment: This government is given a grace period of 1 week to enforce this law after it is passed.
