Preamble: The Treaty of Coral and Petals seeks to re-establish and define trade relations between the Government of the Azalea Isles and the Thalassocracy of Harlowe, to encourage trade and mutual cooperation between these two esteemed nations.
Section I - Reopening of Trade
(a) The Azalea Isles’ existing embargo on trade with the Thalassocracy of Harlowe shall be lifted.
(b) The citizens of the Azalea Isles ports shall be able to trade with the Thalassocracy of Harlowe, subject to the laws of the Azalea Isles.
(c) Citizens in the Thalassocracy of Harlowe shall be able to trade with the Azalea Isles and its port owners, subject to the laws of the Thalassocracy of Harlowe.
(d) Neither the Azalea Isles nor the Thalassocracy of Harlowe shall make any law or take any action to completely ban trade between the two nations.
Section II - Trade Restrictions:
(a) The Azalea Isles shall reduce tariffs to 0% on all goods imported from the Thalassocracy of Harlowe through the Azalea Isles ports system.
(b) The Azalea Isles construction import system maritime block commodities
shall have existing restrictions retained.
(c) The Thalassocracy of Harlowe agrees to keep tariffs at 0% on all goods imported from the Azalea Isles.
Section III - Resale and External Trade:
(a) The Thalassocracy of Harlowe agrees that no good, service, or other form of item purchased by the Thalassocracy of Harlowe or its citizens shall be exported, sold, or otherwise transferred to the Kingdom of Aedoris, including as a component part of a new product.
Section IV - Violation and Withdrawal:
(a) Any violation, or concern of violation, of this treaty by either nation should be presented and discussed through diplomatic channels. Both nations should attempt good faith diplomacy to resolve the issue.
(b) If good faith diplomacy cannot resolve the issue, or if either nation wishes to withdraw from the agreement for other reasons, they may do so, provided a 72 hour (three day) notice is provided to the other nation.
Section V - Treaty Enactment and Duration:
(a) This treaty shall take effect upon being ratified by both the Azalea Isles and the Thalassocracy of Harlowe.
(b) This treaty shall last for 90 days from the date both nations have ratified it, and shall expire on the start of the 91st day, based on UTC time.
(c) The Azalea Isles and the Thalassocracy of Harlowe may opt to renew the treaty, either in the 7 days leading up to expiration of the 7 days after expiration.
(d) If both nations agree to renew, the treaty shall be extended for another 90 days, following the same process as outlined in Section V, subsection b, after which it shall expire unless renewed again following the process outlined in Section V, subsection c.
