Type: Amendment to an Act
Preamble: With the advent of illnesses in Azalea, this bill adds crimes to punish those who infect others with malice.
1. Short Title and Enactment
(a) This bill shall be referred to as the “Slow the Spread Act”.
(b) This bill was authored by Wish Coolperson.
2. Definitions
(a) infect: to transmit a virus to another person
(b) actively: not AFK (away from keyboard) via /afk
3. Amendments
(a) Section 4 of the NCCA shall be amended as follows:
(m) Infection with Malice
(i) Offense Type: Misdemeanor
(ii) Penalty: 5 minutes jail time; $100 fine
(iii) A person commits an offense if the person:
(1) infects another person with a transmittable disease knowingly and actively without the infected person's consent
(n) Mass Infection with Malice
(i) Offense Type: Misdemeanor
(ii) Penalty: 10 minutes jail time; $250 fine
(iii) A person commits an offense if the person:
(1) commits 4 or more instances of Infection with Malice within a 20 minute period.
(l) Aggrevated Mass Infection
(i) Offense Type: Felony
(ii) Penalty: 20 minutes jail time; $1,000 minimum fine; $10,000 maximum fine
(iii) A person commits an offense if the person:
(1) commits 14 or more instances of Infection with Malice within a 24 hour period.
(b) Section 4.d of the NCCA shall be amended as follows:
(i) Offense Type: Misdemeanor
(ii) Penalty: Dependent on repeat offenses
(1) First Offense: 5 minutes jail time; $50 fine
(2) Second Offense: 10 minute jail time; $100 fine
(3) Subsequent Offenses: 20 minutes jail time; $200 fine
(iii) A person commits an offense if the person:
(1) intentionally communicates a threat to inflict bodily injury, death, or sickness upon another person, causing the person to reasonably fear for their safety.
Enactment: This Act comes into force immediately upon passage
