Make criminal records and police records publicly accessible.​

Preamble: The citizens of Azalea Isles should be able to have access to Criminal Records and Police Records at all times.

1. Short Title and Enactment

(a) This bill shall be referred to as the “Public Justice Records Act”.​

(b) This bill was authored by Biscuit Plays and Aero Nox.​

(c) This Act comes into force immediately upon passage.​

2. Definitions

(a) “Criminal Record” shall be recognized as the historical account of all charges brought against a person, including all evidence used to prosecute said charges and the status of the charge.​

(i) The status of the charge will be one of the following: Charged, Acquitted, Convicted.​

(b) “Police Record” shall be recognized as a historical account of interactions between a person and law enforcement. It may include police reports, investigation records, and other documentation related to a person’s interaction with law enforcement.​

3. Responsibilities of the Government

(a) The government will be responsible for keeping every person’s Criminal Record up-to-date at all times.​

(b) The government will be responsible for keeping every person’s Police Record up-to-date at all times.​

4. Public Disclosure

(a) All Police Records must be public at all times.​

(b) All Criminal Records must be public at all times.​
