I, Neighbour M Sonneborn, declare that I will be seeking election to the District 1 seat in Parliament as a member of The PARTY (PARTY). I sign this declaration from a cardboard box.

The following candidates were not included on the ballot due to missing requirements of at least one of the following:

• Be a citizen of Azalea Isles more than one (1) week prior to the electoral period.
• Have a cumulative playtime of at least twenty-four (24) hours and a monthly playtime of at least ten (10) hours at the time voting opens.
• Be not convicted of any crimes with adjudicated punishments that disqualify them from public office in accordance with the law.
• Live in the district they are seeking office in.

While some candidates did have the monthly playtime of at least 10 hours, they did not have the cumulative playtime of 24 hours.

RESULTS

Nine seats were up for election, with three districts for three seats, and one At-Large with six seats. In the At-Large, each voter had a maximum of six votes to cast. Voters who did not meet the minimum requirements were removed from the count.

At-Large District:

Turnout: 54 total voters
Verified Voters: 52 total verified voters
Election Format: Proportional representation. In proportional districts, voters will still vote for candidates, but all votes received by candidates of a party will be totaled up to be that party’s number of votes. That, as a percentage of the total number of votes, will be used for seat allocation. Independents will be treated as one collective party. Once the number of seats each party should receive is determined, the seats each party has won will go to the highest vote getters within that individual party.

Election Calculation:

• REN received 58.68% of the overall vote, while APA received 25.0%, and independent candidates collectively received 16.32% (rounded to nearest hundredth).
• As a result of these total party votes, REN is entitled to 3.52 seats, while APA is entitled to 1.5 seats, and independent candidates collectively are entitled to 0.98 seats.
  • In seat allocation, once the solid numbers have been allocated, the highest decimal point is selected. Although REN and APA are close in the decimal count - REN ultimately gets the final seat allocation as 0.52 remaining vs APA's 0.5 remaining. This results in the final seats being REN entitled to 4, APA entitled to 1, and independents entitled to 1.
• REN's entitlement to 4 seats means that the top 4 candidates with the most votes in their party win. APA's entitlement to 2 seats means that the top 2 candidates with the most votes in their party win. The independent entitlement to 1 seat means that the top independent candidate wins.
