This is the official thread for the by-election of a vacant seat in the Parliament of Azalea Isles, occurring November 9 - 16, 2025. For information on the position and process of government, refer to the Constitution of Azalea Isles.

The Parliament consists of 9 seats, however this election is only for 1 seat as to fill the vacancy following MP Jebediah Crumplesnatch's resignation.

In order to run for office, you need to:

• Own or rent a property within Azalea Isles as a resident.
• Be a citizen of Azalea Isles more than one (1) week prior to the electoral period.
• Have a cumulative playtime of at least three (3) hours and a monthly playtime of at least one (1) hour at the time voting opens.
• Be not convicted of any crimes with adjudicated punishments that disqualify them from public office in accordance with the law.

If you are running on behalf of a party, please ensure you have the permission of the party to run under their banner.

Declarations close on the 14th day of the next month. After that, voting will be open from November 14 to November 16, 2025.

RESULTS

Following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn the verdict of the original case, and thus lift the injunction withholding the election results, we are prepared to now release the result.

One vacant seat was up for election, resulting in each voter having a maximum of one votes to cast. Voters who did not meet the minimum requirements (including unregistered voters) were removed from the count.
