Expressions of Interest - Chief Property Inspector​

The Ministry of Urban Development is looking for open-interest submissions to the role of Chief Property Inspector. Please be advised that this is not an application, but a way to allow people to indicate that they would like to be considered for the role.

The Chief Property Inspector will be working within the Department of Planning and Zoning.

Expectations for the Chief Property Inspector

• Deputy Ministers are expected to:
  • Remain consistently active through their tenure where possible.
  • Manage employees in their purview and collaborate with the Minister in regards to hiring and firing.
  • Be accountable to members of the public and the government.

Responsibilities of the Chief Property Inspector

• It is expected that the Chief Property Inspector will:
  • Manage the assignment of property inspections.
  • Ensure Property Inspectors are trained and aware of Borough Zoning rules.
  • Take ownership of logging inspections and ensure all property reports are properly recorded.
  • Supervise Property Inspectors.
