Expressions of Interest: Advisory Council Member

The Mayor invites expressions of interest from people wishing to serve as additional members of the Free District of Salmonberry's Advisory Council.

About the role
The Council advises the Mayor on district matters and considers resident referendum petitions under section 7 of the Establishment Ordinance. Any Council approval of a petition must be recorded publicly within the 48 hours following the Speaker's certification.

We welcome people who can offer thoughtful ideas, constructive feedback and a useful perspective on life in Salmonberry, including farming, business, building and public services.

Appointment
Additional members are appointed and may be dismissed at the Mayor's discretion. Department heads already sit on the Council automatically. Meeting arrangements are set by the Mayor.
