Promote The Development of Clean Energy

Preamble: This Act aims to define and promote the development and use of clean energy to power providers and individuals alike.

1. Definitions
(a) Clean Energy: Any form of energy that has no pollution footprint.
(b) Power Providers: Private Institutions that provide clean energy to the electricity grid.
(c) Individuals: Citizens of Azalea.
(d) MoC: Ministry of Commerce

2. Power Providers
(a) Power Providers that produce more than 75% of their capacity from Clean Energy sources may apply with the MoC for the “Clean Energy Providers Tax Exemption”. This tax exemption will remove regional tax from the plot in which they create this Clean Energy.
(i) The Power Provider may only register one plot under this exemption.
(ii) The exemption shall be reviewed every 6 months.
(iii) The Provider is responsible for informing the Ministry if there is a sale of the plot, the tax exemption shall be non-transferable.

3. Reporting and Oversight
(a) The MoC is tasked with auditing power providers and individuals to ensure compliance with this Act.
(i) Non-compliance by a power provider or an individual may result in penalties, revoking of grants, or revoking of exemptions, depending on the severity of the violation.

Enactment: This Act comes into force immediately upon passage.
