TO
AMEND THE GOVERNING STRUCTURE ACT

Preamble: This Act will make it a requirement for the Prime Minister or an official on their behalf to announce the appointment of new Ministers.

1. Office Disclosure Amendment
(a) Amends the Governing Structure Act by adding a new Section 4.f.ii: ""Within one week of appointing a Minister, the Prime Minister or a designated executive representative must publicly announce the appointment in an official government announcement or national press release..""
(b) Amends the Governing Structure Act by adding a new Section 4.f.iii: ""If the Prime Minister has not announced the Minister appointment within one week, the Speaker of Parliament shall fine the Prime Minister $500 for every day late.""

Enactment: This Act comes into force immediately upon passage
