Regulate Spices

Preamble: This bill criminalizes the products known as Spices and prohibits their production, trade, and consumption, aligning with international standards on this subject.

1. Short Title and Enactment
(a) This bill shall be referred to as the Tavares Act.
(b) This bill was authored by ChAkselsen1450 MP.

2. Reasons
(a) Spices provide citizens with unfair physiological advantages, posing a danger to others.
(b) This bill seeks to prevent the Isles from becoming a hub for illicit Spice production, reducing the influence of gangs and cartels.

3. Spice Consumption
(a) The use of Spices is hereby made illegal and shall be punishable by a fine of $25
(b) The Ministry of justice requires reasonable cause to check a citizen for spice consumption

4. Possession
(a) The holding of spice on your person shall be made illegal and be punishable by a fine of 20$ for amounts considered for your own consumption 1 - 10 items of spice.
(b) Possesion of spice at larger than 10 items of spice shall be punished at 100$
(c) Spices found on a person shall be confiscated and stored in the Police evidence lockup
(d) Possesion of spice on a citizens plot in a regulated zone shall be punished for 25$ for 1 - 10 and 100$ for any amount above 10. With the spice being confiscated and stored in the Police evidence lockup.
(e) A business found to be storing spice of any amount shall be punished by 200$ and the spice confiscated to be stored in the Police evidence lockup

5. Trade of Spices
(a) The sale and trade of Spices are hereby prohibited in regulated markets. Violators shall face a fine of $500 and 10 minutes of jail time.
(b) If a company is found guilty of selling Spices in regulated markets, all owners holding a 10% or greater share shall be subject to the same penalties.

6. Production of Spices
(a) The production and/or cultivation of Spices in regulated zones is strictly prohibited and shall be punishable by 20 minutes of jail time.

Enactment: This bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and subsequent assent by Her Majesty the Queen.
