Establish proper procedure in the event of a Parliamentary vacancy​

Preamble: In the hopes of avoiding another Constitutional crisis, this Act will outline proper procedures to be followed to fill Parliamentary vacancies.

1. Short Title

(a) This bill shall be referred to as the "Parliamentary Vacancy Act".​

(b) This bill was authored by Aero Nox.​

2. Vacancy Due to Resignation

(a) If a Parliamentary vacancy is the result of a resignation, a by-election will be called no earlier than 48 hours and no later than 72 hours after the resignation takes effect.​

3. Vacancy Due to Removal

(a) If a Parliamentary vacancy is the result of a removal, by voters or the Judiciary, a by-election will be called no earlier than 24 hours and no later than 48 hours after the removal takes effect.​

4. Vacancy Due to Death

(a) If a Parliamentary vacancy is the result of a death, Parliament will enter a period of mourning for a period of 168 hours. A by-election will be called within 24 hours of the end of the mourning period.​

Enactment: This Act comes into force immediately upon passage.
