Type: Constitutional Amendment
1. Short Title
(a) This bill shall be referred to as the "Crown Responsiveness Requirement".
(b) This bill was authored by Lysander Lyon.
2. Responsiveness Amendment
Powers of the Crown
The Crown shall be the head of state and shall represent the unity and sovereignty of Azalea Isles. The Crown shall have the power to appoint members of the Supreme Court; dissolve the Parliament; and conduct foreign affairs; all subject to the advice and consent of Parliament and required Constitutional law. The Crown may also veto legislation as they see fit, and implement royal decrees. If the Crown fails to sign or veto legislation within five days (120 hours) of an approved bill being sent to them, the bill shall be sent to the Prime Minister to be signed or vetoed. Bills that passed with supermajority support can be signed or vetoed by the Crown, but can only be signed by the Prime Minister. If the Prime Minister fails to act on a bill within two days (48 hours), the bill shall be implemented into law. Parliament may override a Prime Minister veto with supermajority support.
Enactment: This Amendment comes into force immediately upon passage and ratification.
