RESTRUCTURE THE CRIMINAL CODE BY IMPROVING ITS FORMAT
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This bill shall be referred to as the “Criminal Code Reformation Act”
(2) This bill shall hold the abbreviation of “CCRA”.
(3) This bill was authored by Oliver Spy.
(4) This bill was sponsored by Galavance
(5) This bill shall be enacted immediately upon royal assent.
2 - Reason
(1) To provide a general format on the structure of the Criminal Code
(2) To ensure that the Criminal Code remains accurate, relevant, and reflective of current laws.
3 - Classifications of Offenses
(1) Crimes Against the Person
- This category includes offenses that cause harm or pose a threat to an individual's physical, emotional, or psychological well-being.
- This category includes offenses that threaten the sovereignty, security, or stability of the state.
- This category includes offenses that threaten the sovereignty, security, or stability of the state.
- This category includes offenses that hinder, obstruct, or undermine the functioning or authority of the government.
- This category includes offenses that disrupt public peace, safety, or moral standards.
- This category includes offenses that cause harm, neglect, or cruelty to animals.
- This category includes offenses that exploit or degrade natural resources and ecosystems.
(8) Financial and Economic Crimes
- This category includes offenses that involve deceit or dishonesty for financial or economic gain.
- This category includes offenses related to the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of firearms and weapons.
- This category includes offenses that undermine or interfere with the integrity of judicial processes.
- This category includes offenses that do not fall within any other defined category but are punishable under the law.
- This category includes offenses involving the possession, distribution, or use of items prohibited by law.
(1) A category of the criminal code may only be added, renamed, or removed through an act of law.
(2) A category may not be removed unless all including articles are being
- reassigned to another category; or
- repealed and removed entirely from the law and criminal code.
5 - Format of the Criminal Code
(1) If a category holds no articles, then that section is to be displayed empty in the criminal code.
(2) The entirety of the criminal code must hold the following format:

1.1. Crime
- Definition:
- Supplementary information regarding the definition
- Punishment:
- Supplementary information regarding the punishment
- Legal Reference: The relevant law, including its abbreviation, section number, and article number, if applicable.
6 - Administration and Maintenance of the Criminal Code
(1) The Criminal Code shall be maintained, updated, and overseen by the Ministry of Justice.
(2) Following the enactment and signature of an Act of Parliament into law, the Ministry of Justice shall have a period of 10 days to amend the Criminal Code to reflect the newly enacted legislation.
(3) The Ministry of Justice shall ensure that all amendments to the Criminal Code are accurate, consistent, and accessible to the public in the official format specified in Section 5.
(4) Upon this Act's signing into law, the Ministry of Justice shall provide the first amendment to the Criminal Code within 14 days. This amendment must ensure that the entire Criminal Code is revised to align with the new format and that all existing criminal legislation is incorporated into the updated Code.
