Profession Constructor Guide

  • Thread Author
Welcome to the Constructor's Guide! As a profession, you can complete an exam for this in addition to your trade job at the university. Note that professions are different from trade jobs - they don't have quests, and the exams are more challenging.

Access to the Build World

As a constructor, you will have access to the build world for any of your personal projects. This role is separate from the staff and government positions of Builder and Architect, which already have access to the build world for their respective duties.

Having access to the build world is a privilege, not a right. If you are found abusing your profession as a constructor, your access to the build world will be removed despite having the profession. You may also face punishment for abusing any permissions. In order to enter into the build world, constructors will need to ensure their inventories are completely empty before using the /buildworld command. Once you enter the build world, you can find a plot by using /plot auto

Relevant Commands:

  • /buildworld - brings you to the build world (as long as you have an empty inventory)
  • /leave-buildworld - brings you back to the main world (as long as you have an empty inventory)
  • //distr - allows you to check the distribution of blocks in a build, using //pos1, and //pos2, then that command.
  • /plot auto - allows you to get a plot, once in the buildworld
  • /plot home - allows you to go to your own plot, once in the buildworld

Pasting Builds

For pasting anything from the build world, players must pay a $500 flat fee, and then provide the materials required or pay a steep premium. Staff will charge players at least 30% above market rate the price of each block not supplied through providing materials. This is to encourage constructors to buy from local businesses.
