Repeatedly sending the same message multiple times, and or otherwise flooding the chat.

• First Punishment: Warning, 5 Minute Mute

Failing to treat other players with respect and dignity outside of a roleplay context. This includes: harassing others, personal attacks, discriminatory language, racism, and overall toxic behaviour.

Discussing controversial topics, such as real-life politics, social issues, or religion.

Mentioning server names in chat as a way to advertise them, sending unrelated discord links and or advertising a service or business not related to CityRP.

Discussing or posting explicit ‘NSFW’ content.

Making sexual comments about or towards other players.

Revealing personal information regarding another player without their permission.

Using unpermitted client modifications to give yourself an advantage on the server. This includes x-ray and other advantageous modifications not approved by staff

Setting up a device or system to avoid being marked as AFK.

• First Punishment: Warning
• Second Punishment: Warning, 1-Day Tempban

Exploiting a bug within the game or within a server feature. Where an issue is encountered, it must be reported to staff immediately. Players who fail to report an issue, and instead use it to financially or otherwise gain, are in violation of this rule.

• First Punishment: Warning, 14-Day Tempban, $2000 Penalty
• Second Punishment: Permanent Ban

Building a machine to collect items without any player interaction. This includes automatic farms designed to collect crops when a player is not online.

• First Punishment: Warning, Removal of Machine, $2000 Penalty

Logging onto the server with a second account.

• First Punishment: Warning, Ban of the Alt Account
• Second Punishment: Permanent Ban

Making reports to staff that are untrue, misrepresenting an issue, or otherwise lying to staff during a staff ticket.

• First Punishment: Warning, $1000 Penalty
• Second Punishment: Warning, 7-Day Tempban

Using permissions granted to you irresponsibility and or to benefit yourself.

Attacking or killing other players without a valid roleplay reason.
You must try to reasonably engage with the target of the conflict (e.g. threaten them, argue with them, etc.) before harming them. This disrupts the roleplay experience and is strictly prohibited. Police reports as a result of RDM are still valid.
There are certain cases where RDM is permitted, these situations include:
Trespassing: If you find a person trespassing on your property, you may kill them without being punished for RDM. Gov laws may apply, however.
Mugging: Running /rob to mug a player after murdering them is permitted so long as you wait 10 minutes before doing it again to the same person. This is in place to prevent spam killing and ruining the experience for other players.
Bank Robbery and Heists: While actively robbing the bank or police station (cooldown bar should be visible on the top of the screen), random killing is permitted against others in the same building.
PVP Zones: The wilderness (not the mines) and gang nodes are all free reign. Have fun
Punishments include:

Having an excessive amount of tile entities (such as item frames or hoppers) and or mobs in your property.

Building machines that induce lag on the server, such as ones that repeatedly function without player interaction.

• First Punishment: Warning, $1000 Penalty
• Second Punishment: 14-Day Tempban

Inadmissible Evidence Policy
In our commitment to maintaining fairness and transparency within our community, we adhere to strict guidelines regarding the acceptance of evidence in server rule enforcement. Due to the potential for tampering and violation of privacy, we do not accept voice chat or direct message (DM) transcripts as valid evidence for rule violations.

Explanation: This policy is crucial for safeguarding player privacy and preventing fraudulent or otherwise invalid evidence

Integrity Preservation
> Our primary goal is to uphold the integrity of our server environment. Accepting voice chat or DMs as evidence introduces significant risks of manipulation, which undermines the fairness of our disciplinary process.

Privacy Considerations
> We respect the privacy of our community members. Voice chat recordings may capture personal conversations and sensitive information without consent, violating individuals' privacy.

Consistency and Reliability
> Ensuring a consistent and reliable enforcement process is crucial for maintaining trust amongst our playerbase. By excluding voice chat and DMs as evidence, we uphold a standard that prioritizes fairness and accuracy in rule enforcement

Exceptions: Certain exceptions may need to be made in order to keep the community safe

Advertisements
> Instances of advertising other servers unaffiliated with CityRP through DMs may be considered a breach of server rules. In such cases, DM evidence may be admissible to support the enforcement of our anti-advertising policies.

Extreme Rule Violations
> In situations involving severe rule violations that pose significant harm to the community or server environment, exceptions may be made at the discretion of server moderators or administrators.


We encourage all players to report rule violations using in-game chat or messages sent over official channels such as affiliated discords and forum topics, accompanied by any relevant screenshots or video recordings. Any questions or concerns regarding this policy may be directed to staff via Discord ticket. This approach helps us maintain a secure and accountable environment for everyone.
