Type: Act of Parliament
Preamble: In order to standardize compensation for public servant, and decentralize payroll management to individual ministries, this Act establishes the National Salary Code for the Azalea Isles.
1. Short Title and Enactment
(a) This Act shall be officially cited as the "Public Sector Salary Code Act" or the "Salary Code Act."
(b) This Act comes into force immediately upon passage.
2. Executive and High Judicial Remuneration
(a) The Prime Minister shall receive a fixed statutory salary of $45 per pay cycle.
(b) Supreme Court Justices shall receive a fixed statutory salary of $45 per pay cycle.
3. Ministerial, Legislative Leadership, and Judicial Remuneration
(a) Cabinet Ministers shall receive a fixed statutory salary of $40 per pay cycle.
(b) The Speaker of Parliament shall receive a fixed statutory salary of $40 per pay cycle.
(c) Judges of the lower and district courts shall receive a fixed statutory salary of $40 per pay cycle.
(d) Bank of Azalea Governors, excluding the MEA minister, shall receive a fixed statutory salary of $40 per pay cycle.
4. Parliamentary and Sub-Cabinet Remuneration
(a) Members of Parliament (MPs) shall receive a fixed statutory salary of $35 per pay cycle.
(b) Deputy Ministers of any ministry shall receive a fixed statutory salary of $35 per pay cycle.
(c) The Deputy Speaker shall receive a fixed statutory salary of $35 per pay cycle.
5. Civil Service and Ministry Employee Salary Cap
(a) The maximum allowable salary for any regular ministry employee or civil servant shall not exceed $30 per pay cycle.
(i) This cap applies to all positions not listed in sections 1-4.
6. Ministerial Payroll Jurisdiction and Decentralization
(a) Each ministry shall maintain exclusive authority and budgetary control over its own internal payroll, staffing tiers, and employee compensation, subject to the statutory caps defined herein.
(b) The Prime Minister shall set salaries for executive positions not listed in sections 2-4.
7. Salary Calculation
(a) When an individual is entitled to more than one government salary, the highest one is the one paid.
8. Amendments
(a) Section 2 and 3 of the Budget act is repealed in its entirety
