Repeal the Upstanding MPs Act​

Preamble: Parliament possesses the inherent right to maintain order and discipline among its members. The Upstanding MPs Act imposes unnecessary procedural requirements and categorical restrictions that constrain Parliament's discretion to respond swiftly and proportionally to misconduct. Repealing this Act restores Parliament's fundamental disciplinary authority.

1. Repeal
(a) The Upstanding MPs Act shall be repealed in full.
(b) Nothing in this Act's repeal shall be construed to diminish or limit Parliament's inherent authority to discipline its members through motion.

Enactment: This Act comes into force immediately upon passage.
