Preamble: Constitutional referendums do not currently have any voting requirements. This must be remedied to ensure referendums are put before active, established participants of the Azalea Isles.
1. Short Title
(a) This bill shall be referred to as the “Referendum Voting Requirements Act”.
(b) This bill was authored by PM Lil Digi & Lysander Lyon.
2. Voter Requirements
(a) In order to be eligible to vote on a constitutional referendum, a citizen must meet the following requirements:
(i) Be a properly registered voter and meet all requirements of the Voter Registration Act, and any other voter registration requirements.
(ii) Have a cumulative playtime of at least 16 hours and a monthly playtime of at least 12 hours.
(iii) Be a citizen of the Azalea Isles more than two (2) weeks prior to the posting of the referendum.
(iv) Live in the district they are voting in.
(b) All citizens with a valid voter registration are also eligible to vote in any at-large district, in addition to their local district.
Enactment: This Act comes into force immediately upon its passage.
