Preamble:
Every resident of Azalea Isles should have the ability to seek protection from harassment or unwanted contact; Whereas
the Ministry of Justice should have the authority to issue reasonable protective orders to preserve public safety and roleplay;
Therefore, Parliament enacts this legislation to establish a system of restraining orders within Azalea Isles.
(i) All Restraining Orders must be approved by the Minister of Justice or the Deputy Minister of Justice.
(ii) The Ministry of Justice may deny any application that lacks sufficient justification.
(iii) Orders will not apply while participating in server events or at spawn
(b) Restraining Orders shall only be requested in good faith for the purpose of personal safety and preventing harassment (including repeated threats, intimidation, stalking, or other unwanted conduct). Filing a knowingly false, misleading, or frivolous application is prohibited.
(i) Filing a knowingly false, misleading, or frivolous application is prohibited.
(ii) A Restraining Order shall not be used to:
(i) Intentionally contact the protected person by any means.
(ii) Come within 5 blocks of the protected person unless required by law enforcement or otherwise authorized by the Ministry of Justice.
(iii) Encourage another individual to contact or harass the protected person on their behalf.
(b) A person that filed a Restraining Order shall not:
(i) Intentionally contact the restricted person by any means.
(ii) Come within 5 blocks of the restricted person unless required by law enforcement or otherwise authorized by the Ministry of Justice.
(iii) Encourage another individual to contact or harass the restricted person on their behalf.
(c) No violation shall occur when contact is accidental or unavoidable, provided the restrained party immediately leaves the area and makes a reasonable effort to avoid further contact.
(i) Upon conviction, the offender shall be sentenced to:
(i) Restraining Orders may be modified or revoked by the Minister of Justice or the Deputy Minister of Justice, or by the request of the protected individual.
(ii) Restraining Orders shall be granted for a maximum time of one week
(iii) Orders can be renewed at end of the time upon requests
(iv) Orders shall be kept and filed by the MOJ for future use and reference
(b) Decisions of a restraining order may be appealed in court
Enactment: This Act comes into force immediately upon passage.

1. Establishment of Restraining Orders
(a) A Restraining Order may be issued to protect an individual from unwanted contact or harassment.(i) All Restraining Orders must be approved by the Minister of Justice or the Deputy Minister of Justice.
(ii) The Ministry of Justice may deny any application that lacks sufficient justification.
(iii) Orders will not apply while participating in server events or at spawn

- Prevent another player from accessing public areas
- Gain an unfair competitive or economic advantage.
- Interfere with another player's employment or government duties.
- Harass or retaliate against another player.
2. Conditions of a Restraining Order
(a) A person subject to a Restraining Order shall not:(i) Intentionally contact the protected person by any means.
(ii) Come within 5 blocks of the protected person unless required by law enforcement or otherwise authorized by the Ministry of Justice.
(iii) Encourage another individual to contact or harass the protected person on their behalf.
(b) A person that filed a Restraining Order shall not:
(i) Intentionally contact the restricted person by any means.
(ii) Come within 5 blocks of the restricted person unless required by law enforcement or otherwise authorized by the Ministry of Justice.
(iii) Encourage another individual to contact or harass the restricted person on their behalf.
(c) No violation shall occur when contact is accidental or unavoidable, provided the restrained party immediately leaves the area and makes a reasonable effort to avoid further contact.
3. Violations
(a) Any person who knowingly violates a valid Restraining Order shall be guilty of the offense of Violation of a Restraining Order.(i) Upon conviction, the offender shall be sentenced to:
- 10 minutes of jail time; and
- A fine of $5,000.
4. Administration
(a) The Ministry of Justice shall maintain records of all active Restraining Orders.(i) Restraining Orders may be modified or revoked by the Minister of Justice or the Deputy Minister of Justice, or by the request of the protected individual.
(ii) Restraining Orders shall be granted for a maximum time of one week
(iii) Orders can be renewed at end of the time upon requests
(iv) Orders shall be kept and filed by the MOJ for future use and reference
(b) Decisions of a restraining order may be appealed in court
