BILL

TO

Amend the Contract Establishment Act

Preamble

Contacts need solid end dates.

1. Short Title

(a) This bill shall be referred to as the "The Contract Limits Amendment".

(b) This bill was authored by Death TheGreat-Fired.

2. Amendment

(a) A new section, Section 9 “Activity Periods “, shall be added to the Contract Establishment Act, as follows:

9. Active Periods

(a) Contracts must have an agreed upon end date extending no more than three months past the initial signing date.

(b) Contracts that are signed in perpetuity must be signed in the presence of a third-party witness that is a lawyer in-game.

(i) This excludes terms and conditions, but changes to terms and conditions must be announced publicly with considerable effort made to ensure changes are made known.

(ii) Any changes to these terms and conditions will be subject to a 7-day grace period. During this period, all parties may review and consider the changes. If either party wishes to terminate the contract as a result, they may do so without penalty.

(c ) Contracts signed in perpetuity must be revisited every 6 months to ensure all parties are still in agreement with the contract.

(d) Active Periods do not apply to contracts that are in relation to a final sale to do with property or goods, but must be witnessed by an in-game lawyer.

Enactment: This Act comes into force three calendar months after passage to allow currently active contracts to be brought into regulation with the law.
